On February 26, the Armenian National Committee of New York together with dozens of activists from around the state gathered in front of the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN in order to demand truth and justice for the crimes perpetrated against the Armenians in the towns of Sumgait, Baku, Kirovabad, Maragha, etc. which resulted in hundreds of Armenians being killed and over 400,000 forcefully deported from their homes. The participants of the demonstration also called for the end of two-decades-long aggression of Azerbaijan against Artsakh and Armenia.

(yerkir.am) Նյու Յորքի Հայ Դատի հանձնախմբի նախաձեռնությամբ` ՄԱԿ-ի շենքի մոտ գտնվող` Ադրբեջանի մշտական ներկայացուցչության կենտրոնի դիմաց բողոքի ցույց է տեղի ունեցել սումգայիթյան ջարդերի տարելիցի կապակցությամբ:
Ըստ «Ասպարեզ»-ի՝ ցուցարարները պարզել են պաստառներ՝ «Ալի’և, դադարեցրու սուտը», «Վերջ տվեք պատերազմի սպառնալիքներին», «Հիշում ենք Սումգայիթը» և «Ադրբեջա’ն, ընդունի’ր հանցանքդ» գրություններով:
