STEPANAKERT: On September 19 2016, the President of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, Bako Sahakyan awarded the country’s “Gratitude” medal to the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia) for the organisation’s efforts in furthering the Artsakh cause in Australia.
ANC Australia Honorary Chairman, Greg Soghomonian received the award in person from President Sahakyan, during a meeting in Stepanakert where the latest developments in Artsakh were discussed.
“I feel tremendously honoured and humbled to accept this on behalf of the Armenian National Committee of Australia,” Soghomonian said. “Serving Hai Tad is the true honour of our ANC chapters around the world, and awards and medals are never expected to be part of that honour.”
Soghomonian added: “Of course, we appreciate being recognised by the President of Artsakh, and I pledged to him that we will continue do our bit to ensure the rights to self-determination for the Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh are recognised and respected.”
An official Artsakh Press statement said: “In connection with the 25th anniversary of the NKR and for the contribution in the recognition of the NKR’s independence the Armenian National Committee of Australia was awarded with the ‘Gratitude’ medal.”
Բակո Սահակյանը «երախտագիտություն» մեդալ է հանձնել Ավստրալիայի Հայ Դատի Հանձնախմբի ներկայացուցչին
(news.am) Արցախի Հանրապետության նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանն, այսօր՝ սեպտեմբերի 19-ին ընդունել է Ավստրալիայի Հայ Դատի Հանձնախմբի ներկայացուցիչ Գրիգոր Սողոմոնյանին եւ նրա հետ քննարկել ադրբեջանա-ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորմանը եւ միջազգային ատյաններում Արցախի մասին ճշմարտացի տեղեկատվության ներկայացմանն առնչվող հարցեր:

Meeting with Australia Hay Dat representative Grigor Soghomonyan
(president.nkr.am) On 19 September Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan received Armenian National Committee of Australia representative Grigor Soghomonian.
Issues related to the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict settlement, presentation of truthful information about Artsakh in various international instances were on the agenda of the meeting.
President Sahakyan rated high the activity of the ANC Australia in this direction expressing hope that close cooperation with the structure would be maintained further on.
In connection with the 25th anniversary of the Artsakh Republic and for the contribution in the recognition of the NKR’s independence ANC Australia was awarded with the “Gratitude” medal. Bako Sahakyan handed in the medal to Grigor Soghomonian during the meeting.
Աւստրալիոյ Հայ Դատի գրասենեակի պատուոյ նախագահ, բարերար Գրիգոր Սողոմոնեանը՝ ՀՀ սփիւռքի նախարարութիւնում
(mindiaspora.am) Սեպտեմբերի 15-ին ՀՀ սփիւռքի նախարարի պաշտօնակատար Հրանուշ Յակոբեանն ընդունեց Հայաստանի անկախութեան 25-ամեակի միջոցառումներին մասնակցելու նպատակով Հայաստան ժամանած Աւստրալիոյ Հայ Դատի գրասենեակի պատուոյ նախագահ, բարերար Գրիգոր Սողոմոնեանին:
Ողջունելով հիւրին՝ նախարարի պաշտօնակատարը կարևորեց Գ. Սողոմոնեանի՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանութեան 100-րդ տարելիցին նուիրուած միջոցառումները Աւստրալիոյ մէջ հաւուր պատշաճի կազմակերպելու և իրականացնելու ջանքերը:
<<Հայ Դատի գրասենեակում Ձեր չորս տասնամեակների կուսակցական աշխատանքով Դուք ծառայել էք հայապահպանութեան, Հայոց ցեղասպանութեան ճանաչման և դատապարտման գործին>>, – նշեց Հրանուշ Յակոբեանը:
Գերատեսչութեան ղեկավարը բարձր գնահատեց Սողոմոնեանի ջանքերը՝ Արցախեան քառօրեայ պատերազմի օրերին Արցախին ցուցաբերած օգնութեան կազմակերպման գործին մէջ:
Քննարկուեցան համայնքային խնդիրներ, ինչպէս նաև Արցախի հիմնահարցի լուծման ուղղութեամբ իրականացուելիք քայլերուն վերաբերող հարցեր:
