ANCA Professional Network Hosts Successful Summer Networking Mixer

STUDIO CITY—Over 150 Armenian-American professionals gathered on Friday, July 31 at River Rock Lounge in the famous Sportsmen’s Lodge for ANCA Professional Network’s Summer Networking Mixer.

The mixer provided guests an opportunity to meet, mingle, and connect with business professionals, community leaders, and fellow ANCA-PN members. The professionals in attendance represented a broad range of industries from both the private and public sector. The capacity crowd enjoyed an evening of catching up with old friends and getting acquainted with new ones.

Formal remarks were kicked off by ANCA Professional Network Co-Chair Shant Sahakian who welcomed the 150+ guests, highlighted ANCA-PN’s upcoming events and programs, and encouraged the professionals in the audience to get involved.

“We were honored to host so many talented, motivated, and engaged professionals,” said ANCA-PN Co-Chair Shant Sahakian. “We thank all of the professionals who joined us and the community for continuing to support ANCA-PN’s efforts to connect people and empower the next generation of leaders.”

Glendale City Clerk and ANCA-WR endorsed California State Assembly candidate Ardashes “Ardy” Kassakhian served as the keynote speaker for the evening. Ardashes discussed the power of community activism and the importance of actively participating in political and community affairs.

“As a former Executive Director of the ANCA Western Region, I am happy to see the ANCA Professional Network thriving and providing much needed networking opportunities for Armenian-American professionals to connect and advance in their careers.” said Ardashes Kassakhian. “The professionals represented different industries, varying experience levels, and diverse interests but they are unified by the common thread of helping advance the Armenian Cause in the United States.”

ANCA Professional Network has many exciting events and programs slated for Fall 2015. ANCA-PN will be hosting a special evening reception on Saturday, October 24 which will be the closing event of the highly anticipated 2015 ANCA-WR Grassroots Conference. ANCA-PN will also be launching a series of Free Legal Clinics with the Armenian Bar Association to provide community members with free legal advice on a wide range of topics including immigration, criminal law, family law, landlord-tenant issues, and much more.

“Our mission is to empower our members and community through a broad range of programs and activities throughout the year,” added ANCA-PN Co-Chair Maral Karagozian. “We are looking forward to working with our members and creating more opportunities to help our members grow both personally and professionally.”
