El Foro Nagorno Karabagh en Uruguay es un espacio integrado por activistas sociales, acad\u00e9micos y legisladores que tiene como objetivo enriquecer y promover la posici\u00f3n del pa\u00eds de respaldo a una soluci\u00f3n pac\u00edfica del conflicto que involucra a las Rep\u00fablicas de Nagorno Karabagh y Azerbaiy\u00e1n desde el colapso de la Uni\u00f3n Sovi\u00e9tica, y que amenaza la estabilidad de todo el C\u00e1ucaso Sur.<\/p>\n

Integran este espacio Gerardo Caetano, Belela Herrera, \u00d3scar L\u00f3pez Goldaracena, Pablo Abdala, Rub\u00e9n Mart\u00ednez Huelmo, Rafael Michelini, Susana Pereyra y Daniel Rad\u00edo.<\/p>\n

Se trata del primer espacio constituido a nivel mundial con estas caracter\u00edsticas, y tendr\u00e1 entre sus actividades el desarrollo de investigaciones, publicaciones, y debates sobre una cuesti\u00f3n en la que Uruguay se ha involucrado desde sus inicios y que se encuentra actualmente en una etapa decisiva, tras el recrudecimiento de la violencia en la zona.<\/p>\n

El lanzamiento del Foro Nagorno Karabagh en Uruguay se realizar\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo 2 de setiembre en Montevideo, en coincidencia con el 25\u00ba aniversario de la independencia de la Rep\u00fablica de Nagorno Karabagh, y contar\u00e1 con la organizaci\u00f3n del Consejo Causa Armenia del Uruguay<\/a> y el auspicio de la Embajada de Armenia. Participar\u00e1 de la actividad el Representante de la Rep\u00fablica de Nagorno Karabagh en los EE.UU, Robert Avedisyan, quien transmitir\u00e1 el mensaje del presidente Bak\u00f3 Sahakian.<\/p>\n

Nagorno-Karabakh Forum Will Be Launched In Uruguay<\/strong><\/p>\n

(PRENSA ARMENIA, 30\/08\/2016).- The Nagorno-Karabakh Forum will be launched in Uruguay on Friday September 2, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.<\/p>\n

“The Nagorno-Karabakh Forum in Uruguay is a space composed of social activists, academics and legislators that aims to enrich and promote the country’s position of support for a peaceful resolution in the conflict involving the Republics of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan since the collapse of the Soviet Union, and threatens the stability of the entire South Caucasus,” said the Armenian National Committee of Uruguay, organizers of the initiative.<\/p>\n

According to the organizers, the members of the Forum will develop and publish investigations and organize discussions on the issues of Nagorno-Karabakh.<\/p>\n

The presentation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Forum, that will be sponsored by the Embassy of Armenia, will be attended by Robert Avedisyan, Permanent Representative of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic to the United States, who will read a message sent by President Bako Sahakyan supporting the initiative.<\/p>\n

Other participants include Senator Rafael Michelini, Senator Ruben Martinez Huelmo and Deputy Daniel Radio (both in the blacklist of Azerbaijan), Deputy Susana Pereyra (one of the international observers in the presidential elections in Nagorno-Karabakh), Deputy Pablo Abdala, Belela Herrera, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, Historian Gerardo Caetano and Oscar Lopez Goldaracena, lawyer and human rights specialist.<\/p>\n

“This forum is a contribution to the understanding and the search for a peaceful solution from the South American region,” said Alfonso Tabakian, Director of the Armenian National Committe of South America<\/a>. “It is composed of renowned personalities from different areas of Uruguay, which will be a bridge so that the public opinion in that country could approach the topic and understand the reality of the conflict without the defects or pressures that may present in the diplomatic tensions or blackmailing by the economic powers. We are convinced that, given the solidarity and democratic characteristics of the Uruguayan people, when they understand the issue they will support the struggle for the sovereignty of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh”.
