\nAanbieding petitie aan de Tweede Kamer door Samenwerkende Armeense Organisaties van Nederland<\/strong>
\nDen Haag, 19 april 2016 \u2013 Vandaag heeft een delegatie van de Samenwerkende Armeense Organisaties van Nederland (Federatie Armeense Organisaties Nederland, Nederlands Armeens Comit\u00e9 voor Rechtvaardigheid en Democratie<\/a> (Hay Tad) en andere organisaties) een petitie aangeboden aan de voorzitter van de vaste Commissie voor Buitenlandse Zaken van de Tweede Kamer, mevrouw A.M.C. Eijsink. Praktisch alle fracties in de Tweede Kamer woonden de presentatie van de petitie bij.<\/p>\n

Namens de organisaties bedankte Inge Drost de leden van de Commissie, die in mei 2015 Armeni\u00eb hebben bezocht, voor hun betrokkenheid bij de Armeni\u00ebrs. Net als afgelopen jaar zullen velen van hen dit jaar de herdenkingsbijeenkomsten in Nederland op 24 april bijwonen.<\/p>\n

Vertegenwoordigers van de verschillende organisaties (Federatie Armeense Organisaties Nederland, Nederlands Armeens Comit\u00e9 voor Rechtvaardigheid en Democratie (Hay Tad), Armeense Jongeren Organisatie AJO, Armeense Studenten Vereniging Gladzor en Armeense Jongeren Vereniging Garegin Njdeh) presenteerden vervolgens gedeeltes uit de petitie, met o.a. de vraag naar volledige erkenning van de Armeense genocide door de Nederlandse regering, implementatie van de motie Rouvoet, veroordeling van discriminatie en haat zaaien van de kant van vertegenwoordigers van Turkse en Azerbeidzjaanse organisaties tegen Armeni\u00ebrs, en het bestrijden van de \u201clange arm van Ankara\u201d in de Nederlandse politiek en samenleving. Ook werd de oproep van de gezamenlijke verklaring van Armeni\u00eb en de diaspora van 2015 voor herstel van individuele en gemeenschappelijke rechten en rechtmatige belangen van Armeni\u00ebrs als gevolg van de genocide aan de orde gesteld.<\/p>\n

Op zaterdag a.s. zullen de Samenwerkende Armeense Organisaties een demonstratie houden in het centrum van Amsterdam ter gelegenheid van 101 jaar Armeense genocide.<\/p>\n

Op zondag vinden bij de Armeense monumenten in Nederland herdenkingsbijeenkomsten plaats.<\/p>\n

Voorts zij vermeld dat vandaag een groep leden van de Armeense Studenten Vereniging Gladzor naar Armeni\u00eb is vertrokken om de herdenking in het moederland bij te wonen. Zij zullen namens de Armeense gemeenschap van Nederland op 24 april een krans leggen bij het nationale herdenkingsmonument Tsitsernakaberd.<\/p>\n
