Seg\u00fan informes locales, Karakas le expres\u00f3 &#8220;su desacuerdo y preocupaci\u00f3n acerca del proyecto de declaraci\u00f3n del llamado Genocidio Armenio el cual fue aprobado por el Senado de Paraguay el 29 de octubre del corriente&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tras esa reuni\u00f3n, V\u00edctor Bogado <a href=\"http:\/\/www.senado.gov.py\/index.php\/noticias\/173101-buscan-rectificar-declaracion-sobre-genocidio-2015-11-19-14-18-35\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anunci\u00f3 el jueves 19 de noviembre<\/a> que presentar\u00eda &#8220;un proyecto alternativo a modo de rectificar la postura del Senado&#8221;. &#8220;A Turqu\u00eda le preocupa sobremanera el t\u00e9rmino de &#8216;genocidio&#8217;, habida cuenta de que este hecho ocurri\u00f3 antes de la creaci\u00f3n del mismo Estado Turco&#8221;, sostuvo Bogado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Luego de expresar que se encuentran con un &#8220;problema bien complejo&#8221; porque considera que &#8220;la declaraci\u00f3n del Senado no es vinculante con la posici\u00f3n del gobierno&#8221;, el legislador relat\u00f3 que la decisi\u00f3n de Turqu\u00eda de suspender las relaciones bilaterales podr\u00eda impactar negativamente en aspectos como el intercambio comercial.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Consultado por la Agencia Prensa Armenia, Alfonso Tabakian, director del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/consejonacionalarmenio\/?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consejo Nacional Armenio de Sudam\u00e9rica<\/a>, se\u00f1al\u00f3 enf\u00e1ticamente que \u200b&#8221;e\u200bl Estado turco, a trav\u00e9s de su embajador concurrente en Paraguay, ejerce una presi\u00f3n inaudita rayana con el chantaje sobre el gobierno de Paraguay, exponiendo brutalmente el autoritarismo del gobierno de Recep Tayyip Erdogan&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El 24 de noviembre, el pol\u00edtico Rafael Filizzola Serra <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.com.py\/edicion-impresa\/opinion\/el-genocidio-armenio-y-nuestra-dignidad-como-pais-soberano-1429540.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">public\u00f3 el diario ABC<\/a> una nota titulada &#8220;El genocidio armenio y nuestra dignidad como pa\u00eds soberano&#8221;, en la que destac\u00f3 que la decisi\u00f3n del Senado de Paraguay fue &#8220;una decisi\u00f3n soberana y consecuente con la historia de nuestro pa\u00eds&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Lo lamentable es que nuestra diplomacia, en lugar de defender la potestad soberana del Senado a expresarse, ha iniciado gestiones para revertir la declaraci\u00f3n parlamentaria&#8221;, agreg\u00f3. &#8220;Nuestra diplomacia demuestra un desconocimiento supino de la posici\u00f3n internacional actual sobre el Genocidio Armenio y de los hechos hist\u00f3ricos comprobados por la comunidad intelectual&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;La dignidad de un pa\u00eds que sufri\u00f3 el exterminio y que tiene la obligaci\u00f3n moral de pronunciarse contra actos como este y tantos otros, para que jam\u00e1s vuelvan a ocurrir. Y de justicia, porque los delitos de lesa humanidad no solamente tienen que denunciarse sino tambi\u00e9n resarcirse. According to local reports, Karakas expressed &#8220;disagreement and concern on the declaration.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After that meeting, Victor Bogado <a href=\"http:\/\/list-manage6.net\/track\/click?u=560764&amp;p=33343031343a3435333a3433363a303a353a30&amp;s=e1a7ce379869424e3f370cd6d748a55f&amp;m=5396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said on Thursday November 19<\/a> that he would present &#8220;an alternative project as a way of rectifying the position of the Senate.&#8221; &#8220;Turkey was deeply concerned about the term &#8216;genocide&#8217;, given that this happened before the creation of the same Turkish state,&#8221; said Bogado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bogado also said that &#8220;the Senate declaration is nonbinding with the government&#8217;s position.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alfonso Tabakian, director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/consejonacionalarmenio\/?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Armenian National Committee of South America<\/a>, emphatically said to Agencia Prensa Armenia that &#8220;the Turkish state, through its concurrent Ambassador to Paraguay, exerted unprecedented pressure bordering on blackmail on Paraguay, brutally exposing the authoritarianism of the government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On November 24, the politician <a href=\"http:\/\/list-manage6.net\/track\/click?u=560765&amp;p=33343031343a3435333a3433363a303a363a30&amp;s=e1a7ce379869424e3f370cd6d748a55f&amp;m=5396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rafael Filizzola Serra<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/list-manage6.net\/track\/click?u=560766&amp;p=33343031343a3435333a3433363a303a373a30&amp;s=e1a7ce379869424e3f370cd6d748a55f&amp;m=5396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published on ABC newspaper<\/a> an article titled &#8220;The Armenian Genocide and our dignity as a sovereign country,&#8221; in which he stressed that the decision of the Senate of Paraguay was &#8220;a sovereign decision consistent with the history of our country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The unfortunate thing is that our diplomacy, rather than defending the sovereign authority of the Senate to speak, has taken steps to reverse the parliamentary statement,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Our diplomacy shows a supine ignorance of the current international position on the Armenian Genocide and historical facts found by the intellectual community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The dignity of a country that suffered the extermination and that has a moral obligation to speak out against acts like this and many others, to ever happen again. And for justice, because crimes against humanity must not only be reported but also repared.
