(PRENSA ARMENIA) N\u00e9stor Kirchner fue homenajeado el mi\u00e9rcoles 14 de octubre por la Asociaci\u00f3n Cultural Armenia en su sede de Valent\u00edn Alsina, el Colegio Armenio Jrimian, en “agradecimiento” a la promulgaci\u00f3n el 11 de enero de 2007 de la Ley Nacional 26.199 que declara el 24 de Abril de todos los a\u00f1os como “D\u00eda de Acci\u00f3n por la Tolerancia y el Respeto entre los pueblos” en conmemoraci\u00f3n del genocidio de que fue v\u00edctima el pueblo armenio.<\/p>\n

“El genocidio ha atravesado nuestras vidas, la de nuestros padres y abuelos. Atraviesa la vida de nuestros hijos, porque son heridas que si no se reparan, siguen abiertas. Las sociedades necesitan cerrar sus heridas para seguir construy\u00e9ndose, reencontr\u00e1ndose y creciendo”, expres\u00f3 Pedro Mouratian, interventor del INADI y uno de los precursores de la ley de reconocimiento del genocidio. “Ah\u00ed est\u00e1 el mayor legado que nos ha dejado N\u00e9stor Kirchner. Hizo que la sociedad argentina, y nosotros como parte de ese pueblo, recuperemos esa capacidad”.<\/p>\n

Al relatar la historia de c\u00f3mo se logr\u00f3 aprobar la Ley 26.199, record\u00f3 que las puertas “siempre estaban abiertas”, pero con un “signo de interrogaci\u00f3n”, que era la “decisi\u00f3n pol\u00edtica final” y hasta d\u00f3nde iba a penetrar “el lobby de Turqu\u00eda dentro del Estado argentino”.<\/p>\n

El intendente de Lan\u00fas Dar\u00edo D\u00edaz P\u00e9rez, quien expres\u00f3 que all\u00ed “se encontraba como en casa”, reivindic\u00f3 el rol de N\u00e9stor Kirchner en la lucha por el negacionismo, como as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n lo hizo Ra\u00fal Alfons\u00edn. “Poner la historia en orden, ponerla a la vista, no existe la posibilidad de que un pueblo haga esto si no existen dirigentes que, en todos los aspectos, se comprometan con esas causas”, cerr\u00f3 el intendente.<\/p>\n

Hugo Kuyumdjian, presidente de la Asociaci\u00f3n Cultural Armenia, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que Argentina experiment\u00f3 “cambios de paradigmas” en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, que “representan el inicio de un camino que no tiene marcha atr\u00e1s, pero al que hay que consolidar”.<\/p>\n

“El de la inclusi\u00f3n social, la contenci\u00f3n de los colectivos vulnerables, una prensa m\u00e1s democr\u00e1tica, la recuperaci\u00f3n del ejercicio de la pol\u00edtica, el desarrollo cient\u00edfico que nos permite mas soberan\u00eda y la pol\u00edtica de estado en materia de derechos humanos”, enumer\u00f3. “Este cambio de paradigma, en el marco del cual ocurri\u00f3 el reconocimiento del Genocidio Armenio, no hubiera sido posible sin voluntad pol\u00edtica, sin la revalorizaci\u00f3n de la misma como herramienta para lograr cambios y alcanzar logros, transformadora de la sociedad en la que vivimos”.<\/p>\n

Los organizadores explicaron que se coloc\u00f3 una placa en el Colegio Armenio Jrimian, “porque fue el mismo lugar donde el 6 de octubre de 2010, d\u00edas antes de su fallecimiento, se le entreg\u00f3 un reconocimiento por haber apoyado la ley que reconoce oficialmente el Genocidio Armenio”.<\/p>\n

La Ley Nacional 26.199, aprobada por la C\u00e1mara de Diputados el 29 de noviembre de 2006 y por la C\u00e1mara de Senadores el 13 de diciembre del mismo a\u00f1o, luego de las gestiones del Consejo Nacional Armenio de Sudam\u00e9rica<\/a>, constituy\u00f3 un antecedente frente a otros reconocimientos por parte de estados y organismos internacionales. “Una ley que vino a reparar la lucha y la memoria colectiva de la comunidad Armenia, que es una parte indisoluble del conjunto de colectivos que forman el pueblo argentino”, manifest\u00f3 Kuyumdjian.<\/p>\n

En 1995, ambas c\u00e1maras hab\u00edan aprobado la Ley 24.559 que declaraba el 24 de abril como el “D\u00eda de Repudio y lucha contra la discriminaci\u00f3n del Hombre contra el Hombre” y reconoc\u00eda el Genocidio Armenio, pero el entonces presidente Carlos Menem, la vet\u00f3 bajo el Decreto 562, el 10 de octubre de ese mismo a\u00f1o. Seg\u00fan Kuyumdjian, el veto se trat\u00f3 de una “herida infringida a todos los que luchamos por los derechos humanos”, ya que estuvo “influenciado por la pol\u00edtica de lobby ejercida por la embajada de Turqu\u00eda en nuestro pa\u00eds, con el apoyo de los aliados de la OTAN, en donde la soberan\u00eda de la Argentina se encontraba relegada, en pos de las relaciones carnales con el pa\u00eds del norte y a merced del poder econ\u00f3mico, el que finalmente nos llev\u00f3 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s a las peores crisis socioecon\u00f3micas en la historia de la Argentina”.<\/p>\n

“El Estado turco debe entender que la posici\u00f3n vanguardista de nuestro pa\u00eds en materia de derechos humanos y su postura frente al genocidio contra los armenios, no son materia de negociaci\u00f3n”, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n

El acto cont\u00f3 con la presencia de buena parte de la dirigencia institucional de la comunidad armenia, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n funcionarios locales, entre los que se encontraron Juli\u00e1n \u00c1lvarez, secretario de Justicia de la Naci\u00f3n, Juan Landaburu, subsecretario de Culto, R\u00f3mulo N\u00e9stor Pullol, gerente General del Instituto Nacional de Cine, la diputada provincial Karina Naz\u00e1bal, Patricia Als\u00faa de Zannini, apoderada del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Santa Cruz, Roberto Crovella, presidente del Consejo Escolar de Lan\u00fas, H\u00e9ctor Bonfiglio, titular del Concejo Deliberante de Lan\u00fas, Larry Levy, vicepresidente del Llamamiento Argentino Jud\u00edo, Jonathan Thea, secretario general de Seamos Libres, Ayel\u00e9n Lemos, referente de Seamos Libres Lan\u00fas, Bartolom\u00e9 Ketchian, en representaci\u00f3n del Consejo Nacional Armenio de Sudam\u00e9rica, y diversas adhesiones.<\/p>\n

La actividad, auspiciada por la Comisi\u00f3n Conmemorativa del Centenario del Genocidio Armenio, fue organizada por la Asociaci\u00f3n Cultural Armenia, una instituci\u00f3n consituida el 27 de noviembre de 1948 como asociaci\u00f3n civil que “trabaja por difundir la cultura y educaci\u00f3n armenia en sus distintas expresiones, impulsando los valores solidarios y de diversidad multicultural”.<\/p>\n

El pasado 20 de septiembre, la comunidad armenia coloc\u00f3 en la Asociaci\u00f3n Cultural Armenia una placa de reconocimiento a Ra\u00fal Alfons\u00edn, en el mismo lugar donde realiz\u00f3 el primer reconocimiento de un presidente argentino del Genocidio Armenio, el 1\u00ba de septiembre de 1987.<\/p>\n


\nArmenian Community Honors Former Argentine President Nestor Kirchner<\/strong><\/p>\n

(PRENSA ARMENIA) Nestor Kirchner, former and late Argentine President was honored on Wednesday, October 14 by the Armenian Cultural Association as a “gratitude” for the promulgation on 11 January 2007 of the National Law 26,199 that declares April 24 of every year as “Action Day for Tolerance and Respect between Peoples” in commemoration of the genocide that was inflicted on the Armenian people.<\/p>\n

“Genocide has crossed our lives, from our parents and grandparents. It has gone through the lives of our children, because there are wounds that remain open if they are not repaired. Societies need to close their wounds to continue to build, rediscover and grow,” said the Director of the National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism Pedro Mouratian, one of the precursors of Law 26,199 that officially recognizes the Armenian genocide. “That is the greatest legacy that has left us Nestor Kirchner. He helped the Argentine society and us to recover that ability.”<\/p>\n

In telling the story of how they managed to pass Law 26,199, he recalled that the doors of the Parliament “were always open,” but with a “question mark” that was the “final political decision” related to how far “the Turkish lobby had penetrated the Argentinean state.”<\/p>\n

National Law 26,199, approved by the House of Representatives on November 29, 2006 and by the Senate on December 13 of that year, after the efforts of the Armenian National Committee of South America, was a precedent to other recognitions of states and international organizations. “A law that came to repair the struggle and the collective memory of the Armenian community, which is an inseparable part of all the groups that make up the Argentine people,” said Hugo Kuyumdjian, President of the Armenian Cultural Association.<\/p>\n

In 1995, both houses had approved Law 24,559 that declared April 24 as the “Day of Repudiation and Discrimination Combat of Man against Man” and recognized the Armenian Genocide, but President Carlos Menem vetoed it under the Decree 562 on October 10 of that year. According to Kuyumdjian, the veto was an “injury to all those who fought for human rights” because it was “influenced by political lobbying exerted by the embassy of Turkey in our country.”<\/p>\n

“The Turkish state must understand that the avant-garde position of our country on human rights and its position on the genocide against the Armenians, are not a matter for negotiation,” he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
