Am 21. und 22. Mai fand die Konferenz \u201e\u201cBuilding Bridges: Promoting Dialogue to Prevent Radicalization and Violent Extremism” im Hauptsitz der OSZE – Organisation f\u00fcr Sicherheit und Zusammenarbeit in Europa in Wien statt. Sowohl der OSZE Generalsekr\u00e4ter Lamberto Zannier, als auch weitere Repr\u00e4sentanten der Organisation waren anwesend. Mitglieds- und nicht-Mitgliedsstaaten der OSZE wurden durch Botschafter, verschiedenste Organisationen und NRO\u2019s repr\u00e4sentiert. Vor den Diskussionen hielten verschiedene Experten unterschiedlichster Bereiche Vortr\u00e4ge \u00fcber die Rolle der Medien, Bildung, Religion und der Jugend.
\nGaro Chadoian, der Vertreter des \u00d6sterreichisch Armenischen Komitee f\u00fcr Gerechtigkeit und Demokratie<\/a> betonte, dass der Extremismus nicht nur in der Religion zu suchen sei, sondern auch im Nationalismus, welcher oft f\u00fcr Terror und verschiedene Genozide verantwortlich sei. In seiner Rede hob er au\u00dferdem hervor, dass die Leugnung des armenischen Genozids und die anti-armenische Politik noch immer in den Schulb\u00fcchern des OSZE Mitgliedsstaates T\u00fcrkei zu finden seien, welche f\u00fcr Radikalisierungen und Gewalttaten gegen\u00fcber der armenischen und anderen Minderheiten verantwortlich sei. Chadoian sagte weiters, dass die Vernichtung der armenischen Bev\u00f6lkerung im historischen Westarmenien, bzw. der heutigen T\u00fcrkei das historische Hauptproblem darstelle, dessen Auswirkung bis heute sichtbar sei.
\n
\nTurkey\u2019s anti-Armenianism continues in educational system<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 21st and 22nd of May the conference \u201cBuilding Bridges: Promoting Dialogue to Prevent Radicalization and Violent Extremism” took place in the headquarters of the OSCE \u2013 The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in Vienna. The OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier and other high representatives of the organization were present. Member and non-member countries of the OSCE were represented by their embassies, several organizations and NGO\u2019s. Before discussions took place, experts from different fields spoke about the role of the media, education, religion and the youth.
\nGaro Chadoian, the representative of the Austrian Armenian Committee for Justice and Democracy, stressed the importance not only to fight religious extremism, but also nationalism, which was often the reason for terror and various genocides. In his speech, he also emphasized, that the denial of the Armenian Genocide and the anti-Armenianism is still a part of the education system in the OSCE member country Turkey, which results in radicalization and violent extremism against Armenians and other minorities. Chadoian added that the annihilation of the Armenian people in historical Western Armenia, or today\u2019s eastern Turkey is the root problem which impact we can still see today.<\/p>\n
