A working meeting of members of the Socialist International Committee for the CIS, Caucasus and Black Sea was held in Chisinau, Moldova, on 6 February 2017, hosted by the Democratic Party of Moldova, DPM.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by delegations from Moldova, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Hungary. Also present was SI Secretary General Luis Ayala.<\/p>\n

ARF-D was represented by ARF-D Bureau\u2019s political representative Armen Rustamyan who also serves as the co-chair of SI Committee for the CIS, Caucasus and Black Sea, and ARF-D Bureau member, head of the party\u2019s International Secretariat (ANC International) Giro Manoyan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The meeting was presided over by co-chairs Armen Rustamyan and Alexandra Dobolyi (Hungary). Welcoming remarks were delivered by Vlad Plahotoniuc leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova. DPM honorary President, former Speaker of the Parliament of Moldova, Dumitru Diacov also took part in the meeting.<\/p>\n

The Committee\u2019s meeting was held to focus on the political context in the region in advance of the XXV SI Congress, and to hear the contributions from SI member parties to the resolutions to be adopted at the Congress. It also offered the opportunity for updates on the situation in countries in the region.<\/p>\n

On behalf of ARF-D Armen Rustamyan presented the latest political developments in Armenia: from the reforms of the Constitution and of the respective electoral law to the upcoming parliamentary elections and the role of ARF-D in all these processes.<\/p>\n

The Socialist International is the worldwide organization of social democratic, socialist and labor parties. It currently brings together 170 political parties and organizations from almost 140 countries.<\/p>\n

In 2003, ARF-D was the first one among CIS political parties, to hold a SI full membership status.<\/p>\n

ARF-D Bureau member, Mario Nalpatian serves as SI Vice-President while ARF-D Bureau member Armen Rustamyan is Co-Chairman of the Committee for the CIS, the Caucasus and the Black Sea. ARF-D is also a member of the Statutory Committee on Finance and Administration of the SI.<\/p>\n

AYF member Garabed Chadoian is one of the Vice-Presidents of IUSY.<\/p>\n

The ARF-D Women\u2019s Group is a full member of the SIW (Socialist International Women). The youth organization of the ARF-D, the Armenian Youth Federation, is a full member of the IUSY (International Union of Socialist Youth), and of YES (Young European Socialists, former European Community Organization of Socialist Youth \u2013 ECOSY).<\/p>\n

Erev\u00e1n (Oficina de prensa de la FRA).- Una delegaci\u00f3n de la FRA-Tashnagtsuti\u00fan tom\u00f3 parte de la reuni\u00f3n del Comit\u00e9 de la IS para la CEI, el C\u00e1ucaso y el Mar Negro que se desarroll\u00f3 el lunes 6 de febrero en Chisinau, capital de Moldavia; bajo el auspicio del Partido Dem\u00f3crata de Moldavia.<\/p>\n

Participaron del encuentro representantes de los partidos afiliados a la IS de Moldavia, Bielorrusia, Azerbaidj\u00e1n, Ucrania, Federaci\u00f3n de Rusia, Kazajst\u00e1n, Hungr\u00eda y Armenia. Se encontraba presente, el secretario general de la Internacional Socialista, el chileno Luis Ayala.<\/p>\n

La representaci\u00f3n de la FRA estaba integrada por el parlamentario y representante pol\u00edtico del Bur\u00f3 y copresidente del Comit\u00e9 organizador, Arm\u00e9n Rustamian, el responsable de la oficina del Consejo Nacional Armenio mundial y miembro del Bur\u00f3, Giro Manoyan; y Gar\u00f3 Shadoyan, integrante de Uni\u00f3n Juventud Armenia de Armenia y vicepresidente de la Uni\u00f3n Internacional de las Juventudes Socialistas (IUSY).<\/p>\n

La reuni\u00f3n fue presidida por los copresidentes Arm\u00e9n Rustamian y Alexandra Topolin (Hungr\u00eda).<\/p>\n

Las palabras de bienvenida estuvieron a cargo del presidente del Partido Dem\u00f3crata de Moldavia y anfitri\u00f3n del evento Vladimir Plahotniuc. Estuvo presente adem\u00e1s Dimitru Diacov, presidente honorario de la citada agrupaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y expresidente del parlamento moldavo.<\/p>\n

El orden del d\u00eda estuvo compuesto fundamentalmente por temas relacionados con el pr\u00f3ximo 25\u00b0 Congreso de la Internacional Socialista, con el objetivo de ir delineando propuestas y proyectos relativos a cuestiones propias de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

El representante de la FRA, Arm\u00e9n Rustamian, ofreci\u00f3 un resumen de los \u00faltimos acontecimientos pol\u00edticos de Armenia, incluyendo la instrumentaci\u00f3n de las reformas constitucionales que se desarrollar\u00e1n hasta los venideros comicios parlamentarios de abril. Habl\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n sobre el papel que le cabe a la FRA en ese proceso.<\/p>\n

La Internacional Socialista (IS) es una organizaci\u00f3n mundial de partidos socialdem\u00f3cratas, socialistas y laboristas, fundada en Fr\u00e1ncfort, en 1951. Actualmente agrupa a 153 partidos pol\u00edticos y organizaciones de todos los continentes.<\/p>\n
