The Community Outreach Coordinator for the Armenian National Committee of America — Glendale Chapter will assist the Executive Board in developing annual plans for general community outreach and grassroots advocacy to external and internal audiences and constituencies including but not limited to: broad-based media initiatives, organizational events, community functions, community work projects, and community boards. Duties:

•Conduct community outreach efforts; establish and maintain connections with community organizations, businesses, government institutions, elected officials and other strategic partners. Represent the Glendale Chapter in a variety of community meetings and events for outreach, engagement, collaboration, fundraising, and referral purposes.

•Assist the Executive Board in implementation of annual strategic plan.

•Provide general administrative and logistical support to the Executive Board daily.

•Coordinate community events, community meetings, educational outreach, and Community Relations projects to ensure consistent and timely results.

•Monitor and maintain the publication of all ANCA Glendale content online (website and social media) and in print.

•Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to participation in chapter and advocacy events.

Minimum Requirements:

•High School Degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. BA in Marketing, Communications, Political Science or Related field.

•Proficiency in English and Armenian

•Minimum of two years’ experience in community outreach initiatives.

•Minimum of two years’ experience in Public Relations and Event Planning.

•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

•Knowledge of community resources in Glendale. Preference will be given to individuals who reside in the assigned community and who have strong community connections.

•Excellent public speaking, verbal and written communication skills; highly organized.

•Proficiency in usage of Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube), some Photoshop, and basic WordPress maintenance.

Completes all job duties in a manner that meets the accepted standards of practice and Armenian National Committee of America policies and procedures.
